Chairman's Message

Welcome Back to Business

Dear AusBG Members and Friends,

Welcome back to business, we hope you had a great summer and are ready for a busy and successful end to 2018.

The AusBG team has been extremely busy over summer preparing events for you for the rest of the year. The two main events to consider begin this week; a ‘not to be missed’ financial and economic expert regional update from the leadership teams of FAB, leading PE firm Gulf Capital, ADCB Bank and Abu Dhabi Financial Group – all brought together by Macquarie Middle East Chairman and AusBG Treasurer, Mr. Wissam Moukahal.I attend many conferences throughout the year and it is extremely rare to get such an esteemed line up of speakers and experts in one room let alone one panel. Registration is essential to attend Monday, September 10th at 6pm email office@ausbg.net,  for tickets non-members welcome also.

Next up in the AusBG agenda is something a little more relaxed, a celebration and showcase of the best of Australian food and wine, AusBG’ s Taste of Australia dinner. This year AusBG are thrilled to have secured Matt Moran’ Executive Chef from Barangaroo House in Sydney Chef Cory Campbell. For food enthusiasts Chef Cory has worked in some of the most renowned restaurants globally; The Ledbury and Noma (top 3 on 50 best restaurants globally) and Vue De Monde in Melbourne, where during his time the restaurant was awarded three chefs’ hats. Matt Moran is an Australian food icon with a career spanning over 30 years in the Australian Food industry and a plethora of awards, tv shows, best-selling cookbooks, and owner of some of Australia’s most celebrated dining establishments. AusBG is grateful to have this opportunity to dine with Chef Cory and his team on Friday, October 26th – save the date. AusBG is delighted to have the Victorian Government, Meat and Livestock Australia, Etihad Airways and Spinneys supporting the event.

We would like to invite creative, innovative, dynamic stallholders/producers to showcase at this year's Taste. If this sounds like something you would be interested please email Laren at businessclub@ausg.net
