While we welcome Mr Halliday, the AusBG Board and its members would like to take this time to personally thank Gerard Seeber for his continued support as the Senior Trade Commissioner and Consul General over the past six years. It has been an honour and pleasure to work with you.
Mr Seeber was appointed the Consul General & Senior Trade Commissioner for the Middle East in February 2012 to continue his successful international career with Austrade in which he started in 1987. During Mr Seeber’s time in the Middle East, Austrade has accelerated the bilateral ties between Australian and the Middle East, and Australia’s connections are strong with the UAE and continue to grow in new industries and sectors.
In particular, the AusBG would like to thank Gerard who was instrumental to the Australian Business Groups in the GCC region in the establishment of Australian Business Middle East Association ABM and continued to give his endorsement and support for ABMA for the past two and a half years.
